Floral Monogram Embroidery

  • The Fashion Lab, 4th floor Commercial Union House 39 Pilgrim Street Newcastle upon Tyne, England, NE1 6QE United Kingdom (map)

Embroidered florals are classic for a reason. From intricate silk shading of the Orient, to the Mexican blooms donned by Frida Kahlo, to traditional English garden scattered florals, they are a stunning way of personalising your wardrobe and home and will work hard throughout the seasons. In this class, you’ll be taught a series of floral and leafy crewelwork stitches, which you can then apply to a simple monogram design. All tools and materials will be provided*, including organic cotton fabric and a great range of responsibly sourced cotton embroidery threads, ideal for the conscious creative. This is a lovely relaxed and creative class, and the skills you’ll learn from this can be applied to so many exciting projects.
